The M.V Reggie is GPS and Sonar equipped with state of the art electronics and also has a toilet for your added comfort. Matthew spent many sleepless nights planning customisations he wanted made on the M.V Reggie, so you can be assured that she has been designed specifically to maximise the chance of catching fish without putting client comfort in jeopardy. She is equipped with everything you need to land the big ones from top quality gear to the highly respected Skipper.
If you are fishing with the best, you can only expect to use the best - and that’s exactly what you get when you fish with Matthew Hunt Fishing Services. All our fishing trips are chartered out on the magnificent “M.V Reggie”. The vessel is named in memory of the Skipper’s long time fishing pal, ”Reggie”. He was always keen to get on the fish and his performances to coax a pilchard off unsuspecting anglers will always be remembered.

Matt is no stranger to fishing! Growing up fishing beside Rex Hunt has ensured a solid love for the fishing available in Victoria. Matt takes great pride in being able to share his knowledge to help you have a great day's fishing, wherever you choose to join him. Matthew has successfully been fishing the waters of not only Victoria, but most of Australia pretty much all of his life.
If he could spend his days doing one thing, it would be chasing Blue and Striped Marlin up on the south coast of NSW. He has been doing this for the past 20 years and never tires of taking friends out to experience the wonders of game fishing. His ability as a Skipper is outstanding and Matthew has many qualifications. He is qualified to perform First Aid Level 2 and has held a Coxswain Certificate for just under 15 years. Matthew has recently achieved his Skipper Grade 3, Master Class 5 and his M.E.D Grade 3.
